“Why don’t you come home with me?”

I was walking alone near the cultural center in Denver, Colorado in the early afternoon. While crossing the street, a man at least twice my age (I was 18 at the time) said something like, “Hey baby, why don’t you come home with me?” I was offended, but ignored him and kept walking. Nothing came of it.

  1. Golden Silence says:

Why do these old men think we young women want them talking to us? Go away!

I want to say that older women aren’t the targets of old men’s advances and that age curbs harassment, but it doesn’t. I have seen a group of old guys hanging out on the street check out the rear of an older woman as she walked by. Nasty!
